Why build with hemp
Hemp is one of the fastest-growing crops on earth and one of the most practical low-carbon building materials available today.
Carbon negative
Hemp absorbs more CO₂ while growing than is emitted producing the material. Every wall stores carbon for the life of the building.
Healthy indoor climate
Vapour-open and humidity-buffering, hemp materials help prevent mould and keep interiors comfortable year round.
Thermal & acoustic performance
Excellent insulation and sound dampening with the added benefit of thermal mass in hempcrete walls.
Fire & pest resistant
Lime-bound hemp does not support combustion and is naturally unattractive to rodents and insects.
From Canada to Poland and Europe
Canada is one of the world's largest producers of industrial hemp. We connect Canadian growers and processors with builders, manufacturers and distributors in Poland, our primary market, and across the European Union.
